Q:My excavator has weak power in all movements. Could this be the cause?
A: Yes. Low main system pressure is a primary cause of overall weak operation. As the key component controlling this pressure, a failed main relief valve (due to spring fatigue or spool sticking) is a common culprit. Replacing this valve is the first critical step in diagnosis and repair.
Q:Does the valve need pressure readjustment after installation?
A:This valve is factory pre-set to the standard pressure specification. After installation, we recommend using a pressure gauge to verify and, if necessary, fine-tune the main system pressure on the machine to ensure it meets your specific model's requirements.
Q:Can this valve itself cause high hydraulic oil temperature?
A:Yes, it can. If the relief valve has internal leakage (where high-pressure oil continuously bypasses to the tank) due to wear or sticking, the energy loss converts into heat, leading to abnormally high oil temperature.

Pressure Instability and Fluctuation
The relief valve fails to maintain a stable cracking pressure, resulting in erratic system pressure that fluctuates beyond the acceptable range. This leads to inconsistent excavator performance, jerky movements, and uneven hydraulic power output during operation.

Internal Leakage and Pressure Drop
Worn sealing surfaces between the spool and seat allow continuous oil bypass, causing gradual pressure loss even when the system should be at rest. This results in reduced digging force, slower cycle times, and increased fuel consumption as the pump works harder to compensate.

Valve Sticking and Delayed Response
Contamination in the hydraulic fluid causes the precision spool to stick in either open or closed positions. This creates dangerous pressure spikes or complete loss of pressure protection, potentially damaging pumps, cylinders, and other expensive hydraulic components.
