The distribution valve assembly is the "traffic control center" of the hydraulic system. It precisely distributes and routes the high-pressure hydraulic fluid supplied by the main pump to various actuators (such as boom cylinders, stick cylinders, swing motors, and travel motors) according to the operator's commands. Through the displacement of multiple precisely linked valve cores, it controls the flow direction, flow rate, and pressure of the hydraulic fluid, thereby transforming a single power source into multiple complex, independent, and controllable movements.

The core feature of this valve assembly is its ability to achieve smooth composite movements (such as simultaneously lifting the boom and swinging it). Its internal design incorporates pressure compensation and load sensitivity functions, sensing the load demands of each actuator and intelligently distributing flow. This ensures that when multiple movements occur simultaneously, lighter-loaded movements do not "steal" all the flow, thus guaranteeing the coordination and controllability of the movements and avoiding abruptness and jitter.

Modern distribution valve assemblies are highly integrated modules. It is not a single valve block, but rather integrates multiple functional valves, including the main control valve, pilot pressure valve, safety valve, and regeneration valve, into a compact casting. This modular design reduces external piping connections, significantly lowers the risk of leakage, improves system reliability, and facilitates overall disassembly and maintenance.

The valve assembly integrates several key safety functions. Its internal safety valve (relief valve) sets the maximum pressure limit for the entire operating circuit to prevent system overload. Simultaneously, the attached valve core locking mechanism (such as a pilot shut-off valve) can lock the valve core after the engine is turned off, preventing accidental operation of the working device, and can automatically intervene when an anomaly is detected (such as excessively high hydraulic oil temperature), serving as a physical barrier to ensure the safety of equipment and personnel.
