Common Issue of Fan Blades Inclued

• Crack Propagation and Fatigue Failure

  The fan blades develop cracks originating from the root or along stress concentration points due to continuous cyclic loading and vibration. These fatigue cracks progressively extend under operation, potentially leading to sudden blade separation. This failure poses serious safety risks, causes severe imbalance in the cooling system, and can result in collateral damage to the radiator and surrounding components.
• Imbalance-Induced Vibration and Bearing Stress

  Individual blade damage, uneven mud accumulation, or manufacturing inconsistencies create rotational imbalance. This imbalance generates destructive harmonic vibrations that transmit through the fan hub to the water pump shaft and engine bearings. Chronic vibration leads to premature bearing failure, seal leakage, and can even cause crankshaft harmonic damper deterioration in severe cases.

• Thermal Warping and Dimensional Instability

  Exposure to extreme underhood temperatures, combined with uneven cooling during operation, can cause plastic/composite blades to warp or metal blades to experience thermal distortion. Warped blades lose their designed pitch angle, drastically reducing airflow volume. This deformation often creates interference with the fan shroud, producing grinding noises and further imbalance issues.
