Before ordering this BF4M 2012C engine assembly, verify your old engine's model, serial number, and configuration. Please note the part numbers of accessories, as they might be supplied separately. Also, check if the new engine's mounting feet, flywheel housing, and port locations match your equipment. This thorough pre-check is the crucial first step to a smooth installation, preventing costly mid-project delays and ensuring all components align correctly.

Before installing the new engine, thoroughly flush all external systems. This includes the radiator, hydraulic oil cooler, and all fuel/coolant lines. Contaminants from the old engine can cause rapid wear and failure in the new one. We recommend using dedicated flushing equipment and cleaners to provide a clean "circulatory system" for the new heart, which is fundamental to ensuring its long service life.

When transferring accessories to the new assembly, we highly recommend inspecting or replacing critical wear items. This includes front/rear crankshaft and camshaft seals, O-rings, and gaskets. Replacing these seals on a stand is far easier and more cost-effective than in the machine. Most critically, after installation, check the alignment between the engine and transmission using proper tools. Even slight misalignment transmits harmful vibrations and stress, leading to premature failure of the flywheel, bearings, and shaft seals, compromising the entire drivetrain.
