A: Highly likely. This is a classic symptom of sensor failure. Both the ECU and dashboard receive data from this electronic sensor. Use a diagnostic tool to read the real-time pressure data stream. If it differs significantly from the mechanical gauge, sensor failure is confirmed.
Q:Do I need to apply sealant during installation?
A:Absolutely not! This sensor comes with an integrated metal washer or O-ring. Applying additional sealant (especially silicone) can clog the sensor's tiny pressure port or contaminate the medium, causing complete failure. Simply clean the threads and install it dry.
