Damage: Due to the pulse pressure of the hydraulic system or the vibration frequency of a nearby engine/pump being close to the natural frequency of the pipe body, metal fatigue occurs near the support fixing point of the rigid pipe. Initially, this manifests as fine cracks, which propagate with vibration, leading to oil leakage and even breakage.

Repair: The entire pipe must be replaced. Welding repair is strictly prohibited, as it will alter the metal's crystalline structure and cause secondary fracture. During installation, aged rubber vibration damping clamps must be inspected and replaced. Ensure all fixing bolt torques meet standards and isolate the vibration source.

Damage: This pipe fitting typically uses O-ring seals or a 24° conical surface seal structure at both ends. Frequent disassembly and maintenance, or misalignment during installation, can easily cause scratches, indentations, or elliptic deviations on the conical surface or ball end, leading to high-pressure oil leakage.

Repair: Carefully inspect the sealing conical surface after disassembly. If only minor scratches are present, polish circumferentially with very fine metallographic sandpaper; if significant indentations or elliptic deformation have appeared, the entire pipe must be replaced. Simultaneously, new O-rings or sealing sleeves must be replaced, and alignment of both ends must be ensured during installation.

Damage: If the pipe fitting has a central support clamp, long-term machine vibration will cause relative friction between the pipe wall and the clamp's liner. Initially, this leads to the peeling of the anti-rust coating on the pipe surface; over time, it thins the pipe wall, reduces its strength, and ultimately causes a high-pressure pipe burst.
 

Repair: Check if the rubber liner of the clamp has hardened or peeled off. If damaged, replace the clamp immediately. For sections of the pipe that are already worn thin, there is no repair value; the fitting must be replaced to prevent sudden bursting under high pressure and causing a safety accident.

Damage: Excavators operate in harsh environments. If this pipeline is located in an exposed position (such as the boom or chassis area), it is susceptible to impacts from flying stones or falling objects. Dents will cause localized stress concentration, which, even if there is no oil leakage at the time, can become a source of fatigue fracture under high-pressure pulses.
 

Repair: If any visible dents or obvious deformations are found on the pipe body, regardless of whether there is an oil leak, it must be replaced immediately. Do not attempt to repair or reshape it by hammering, as this will further damage the material. It is also recommended to check and install the manufacturer's protective plate or wrap it with a wear-resistant sleeve.
