A:This is usually not a monitor issue. The monitor only "reports" the signals it receives. A "--" or incorrect reading indicates a potential fault in the corresponding sensor (e.g., coolant temperature sensor) or its wiring. Further diagnosis of the sensor circuit is required.
Q:Does this monitor store the hour meter data? Will the hours reset after replacement?
A:No, it does not store data, and hours will not reset. The operating hours are typically stored in the engine ECU, not the monitor. The monitor simply reads and displays this data from the ECU. Replacing the monitor will not alter the machine's actual working hours.
